CoreWeave just printed the kind of quarter that prints money on the way up and burns it on the way down. Q2 2026 revenue reached $2.575B, more than doubling year over year. The growth came almost entirely from existing hyperscaler customers scaling committed contracts. Management disclosed that roughly 93% of the increase traced to expansion inside the existing base. The remaining 7% came from new logos. The strategic shift visible in the filings is the explicit pivot from a single-customer GPU reseller into a multi-anchor neocloud. OpenAI has committed up to $6.5B under a master services agreement order form signed in late 2025. Meta Platforms committed up to $21.0B under a separate order form signed in March 2026. The combined backlog supports a multi-year build cycle.

The thesis hangs on three variables that the market can track in real time. The first is contract diversification. Top-three customer concentration in the latest quarter landed at a 72% split across three anchors, with the top customer at 36%. The year-ago comparison showed a single 71% exposure to one anchor. The second variable is the cost-of-debt curve. Q2 2026 interest expense ran at $640M. The August 2026 DDTL facility reset the marginal cost of growth capital. The third variable is data center time-to-power. Roughly 88% of long-lived assets sit in the U.S. Real-time proxies include the term SOFR plus margin on new debt tranches, plus any incremental disclosure on new data center energization timelines.

The market confirms the thesis when the equity re-rates alongside a flattening cost-of-debt curve and incremental order forms from non-Microsoft anchors. The thesis breaks when a top customer materially reduces RPO on a quarterly disclosure. A separate break path opens when 10-year term SOFR rises 100bp and pushes annual interest expense above $2B on existing floating-rate debt. A third break path appears if the material weaknesses in internal control over financial reporting, which the company disclosed remain unremediated as of June 30, 2026, surface in a restatement or qualified opinion.
