Bloom Energy Q2 FY2026: The AI-Power Inflection, the Oracle Bet, and What the Multiple Is Actually Pricing

Bloom Energy's second quarter delivered the print the company has been building toward for the better part of a decade. Total revenue reached $1.07 billion, the first time Bloom has crossed the billion-dollar mark in a single quarter, up 165% from $401M a year earlier. Operating income swung from a $3.5M loss to a $182M profit, GAAP diluted EPS went from $(0.18) to $0.62, and operating cash flow flipped to a $226M inflow from a $213M outflow. The stock is now up roughly 5.4x off its 52-week low of $43.10 (August 2025), and the company raised its full-year revenue guide to $3.9–$4.2 billion, almost exactly double the 2025 base of $2.02B.

The quarter's load-bearing event was a single contract. In October 2025, Bloom agreed to issue Oracle a warrant for up to 3.53M shares at $113.28 to provide on-site solid-state power for AI data centers; the warrant was granted in April 2026, cashless-exercised on May 1, and the cash-reducing revenue entry now amortizes against every Energy Server system delivered under the Oracle arrangement. Management attributed the surge directly to that large AI-infrastructure deployment and to projects flowing through the joint venture with Brookfield Asset Management, both of which began converting into recognized revenue this quarter. Bloom is no longer selling fuel cells into a slow, project-by-project commercial-industrial market; it is shipping into hyperscaler time-to-power.

The question the quarter does not yet answer is the one the multiple is asking. At $229.94 on August 14, the company commands a market capitalization of roughly $67.7 billion and an enterprise value near $67.5 billion (the convert carrying value nets against the $2.67B cash pile). That is 85x the midpoint of 2026 non-GAAP EPS guidance and roughly 17x the midpoint of 2026 revenue guidance. The market is pricing a multi-year compounding arc that this quarter, for the first time, put a dollar sign on - and that same market is also watching a single customer (one unnamed party accounted for 73% of first-half revenue) and a deeply out-of-the-money convertible (the 0% Notes due 2030 carry a $194.97 conversion price against a $229.94 close) sit on the same balance sheet. The clock on this thesis is the third and fourth quarter prints: full-year 2026 delivery at the guided $3.9–4.2B is now the only number that determines whether the multiple is justified or has run ahead of the business.
